About Tough Cookie Communications

Are you a tough cookie?

This is for all the other tough cookies out there. We are the people who want to remain sweet and soft while being brave enough to do the hard work required to be healthy and present adults for the children around us. Talking to our children about painful life changes from an open, curious, and compassionate place takes a lot of courage. We know that if we are guarded, defensive, and judgmental that we are feeling fearful and insecure, and that’s not the type of cookies we want to be. Our type of toughness knows that every time we have a courageous conversation, we grow stronger. We show our children that facing our hard days with honesty and compassion is how we move forward. Tough cookies, like us, communicate to children in a way that shows them softness and sweetness is strength. Be a tough cookie with me and show the children in your life the type of tough cookie they can be too.
